FAQ

Brookfield care consists of a Nursing home and Domiciliary care Agency- providing support to people in their own homes.

If you need any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us

Will I have the same person each day?
This depends on how many care visits you have each day/week. Continuity is important to us as a company and we understand the importance of this to the clients we provide care for. However it is not always possible to assign 1 carer to a particular individual. for each visit due to work patterns , or other circumstances.

We do try to keep the number of people to a minimum as this reduces disruption to routines and care needs.

How do I pay for my care?
We will send you a monthly invoice. If you wish to pay by standing order our accounts department can support you with details. The rates will be discussed with you during your home visit.

Assistance may be available via Government benefits or Social services (This includes direct payments) We can support you with advice on this matter.

What happens when the office is closed?
We maintain an out of hours emergency service. This is manned from 17.00- 08.00 , the main office hours are Mon – Friday 08.00-17.00. The main office telephone number should be used which is 0151 625 0050; this will transfer to the out of hours on-call team.

What safeguards are in place?
Staff go through a rigorous vetting procedure before they start work, this includes a face to face interview, criminal records check, followed by an induction process.

We are registered with Care Quality Commission and are contracted with Social Services. Both of these have standards set out which have to be followed, and are regularly monitored through on site inspections. Our most recent on site inspection judged our service as three star – excellent. .

Do you support with short term care?
We recognise that care needs vary considerably, therefore we aim to support with as much flexibility as possible. If you require care support for only a few days/weeks/months we will discuss this with you.

A needs assessment will take place with you/your family/social worker to identify the care package that is appropriate. This will be reviewed regularly, then adjusted as appropriate.
